Project Support Officer

 

The role will provide support to the project control and governance activities Project Management Organisation (PMO) and support Project Managers throughout the lifecycle of projects on behalf of Eduserv and Eduserv customers. 

The ideal project support officer will demonstrate:
  • Delight when
    • The numbers all add up and plans are well executed
    • Major dependencies in projects are well communicated and actively tracked
    • Major risks are identified and well mitigated
    • Issues are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner
    • Resources are available when required
  • Natural organisational skills and desire to help and collaborate in the PMO, and across other departments
  • Strong willingness to learn new technology, and how it can improve the PMO function
  • A drive towards continual self-development
  • A strong customer service orientation as evidenced by:
    • Clear communication of project reports and progress
    • Accurate financial information for Finance and our customers
    • Clear and relevant payment milestones
    • Control and agreed change
    • Help with the marketing of our project delivery capability
    • Desire to improve how we deliver projects including lessons learnt
  • Knowledge of:
    • Microsoft office suite
    • Planning methods and technologies
    • Financial planning tools
  • Ideally have experience of:
    • Working within a project management team
    • working in a customer facing environment
    • working in an Agile and Kanban environment with multiple product organisations
