This week sees the launch of our Local Government Executive Briefing Programme, a new initiative aimed at helping senior decision-makers in local government plan effectively for digitally-enabled service transformation.

Leading the initiative will be recently appointed Principal Analyst, Jos Creese, former CIO at Hampshire County Council. Alongside the Eduserv team, Jos will deliver to thepublic sector executive a programme of engaging, provocative content whilst offering an independent forum in which to share ideas and formulate strategy around transformation and change.

“In creating this programme we hope to contribute to the debate about how best to exploit technology in addressing the exceptional challenges local government is now facing”, said Stephen Butcher, Eduserv CEO.

Commenting on his appointment as Principal Analyst, Jos Creese said:

"I have seen first-hand the extent to which IT, when correctly deployed, could solve the twin problems of cost reduction and demand growth for council services.

Local Government still has some way to go in developing new digital delivery models which meet its specific challenges. In my new role at Eduserv I hope to facilitate debate that offers new insights into how the public sector can better use technology to navigate a successful future path.”

Jos Creese will be attending this year’s LGC Summit on 17th/18th September, holding a digital transformation workshop with Local Authority CEOs. Follow the event on Twitter @eduserv
