Systems Monitoring
Eduserv's monitoring service watches over your service hardware, network infrastrucutre, firewalls, and applications with web monitoring, right down to page level - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A wide range of parameters can be monitored against pre-defined thresholds. On breach of any of these thresholds Eduserv will take corrective action for the problem area and notify you by an automatically generated email from our service desk. This is part of the day-to-day systems management that Eduserv undertakes as part of the contract to manage your infrastructure.

The service includes:

Backup and restore
Eduserv can maintain and recover data from verified backup sources for all of its hosted applications, defining a backup policy that meets customer requirements as part of the service level agreement.

A basic service provision includes:

• Backup all customer data and key system files
• Provide a minimum retention period of 1 month
• Weekly archiving of backups to an off-site location

All backup operations are carried out over a secure, private network to a high-performance, dedicated backup server. This infrastructure ensures zero disruption to the live hosting services.
