Dr Kenji Takeda is a senior lecturer in aerodynamics and flight mechanics working in the areas of distributed computing, experimental and computational fluid dynamics, aeroacoustics, and flight simulation. He has extensive experience in high performance and distributed computing systems and applications, and is focussed on developing user-centric capabilities and large data management.
He leads the computing activity for the EPSRC-funded CeM-CATS Centre for Multi-disciplinary Computer Assisted Tomography at Southampton (EP/H01506X/1, £1.9m), and the Institutional Data Management Blueprint project, under the JISC Managing Research Data programme. He is leading the Microsoft SharePoint RIC2 programme at Southampton, including developing scientific data management, funded by Microsoft Research.
