Andreas Åkre Solberg has been a Researcher in UNINETT since 2004.

Andreas is involved in several research activities on authentication and authorization infrastructures, and currently leads the research activity Identity Federations within the pan-European research programme GÉANT3.

Andreas has initiated several successful software projects including SimpleSAMLphp and Foodle. He has been part of the Feide project, and worked with Identity Systems since the beginning of 2006. Prior to that, he worked with passive network monitoring in the department of research and development in UNINETT. Andreas graduated from the department of telemathics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim in 2004 with an MSc in communication technology specialising in teletraffic engineering.
