OpenAthens announces new security certificate
10 July 2012
The OpenAthens gateway certificate is due to be replaced on 28 July 2012.
We are pleased to announce that we have secured a three year certificate from JANET this year, which is good news for our customers as they will not need to update their SSL certificate for a further two years.
This allows us to deliver an improved service, reducing the maintenance cost of our products and services and allowing customers to drive real returns from their investment, and focus on their core business activities of delivering outstanding library service and content by publishers.
Customers using OpenAthens LA and SP (version 2 or higher) and any Service Provider that is not a member of the UK AMF nor using OpenAthens software to deliver services to members of the UK AMF should now visit the maintenance page on OpenAthens.net for more information and instructions on how to obtain and install the new certificate for supported platforms.
