A groundbreaking new Adobe ELA Agreement will allow over 600 universities and colleges to offer Adobe Creative Suite Editions on their PCs/Macs and for staff to use the software at home.

We have signed a three year contract with Adobe Systems Europe Ltd to supply enterprise licence agreements (ELA) to UK Higher and Further Education Institutions.

The licences will allow over 600 universities and colleges to install their choice of Adobe Creative Suite Editions on their PCs/Macs and for staff to use the software at home.

This is the first agreement of its kind with Adobe outside the US that is not directly funded by a national government. The participating institutions pay annual licence fees calculated using their staff FTE (full time equivalent) count.

To date 114 universities and colleges have signed. We expect many more institutions to join the agreement as their current maintenance agreements come to an end; the next opportunity will be in November – paperwork needs to be completed by 24 October.
