This agreement offers PsycARTICLES, PsycBOOKS, PsycCRITIQUES, PsycEXTRA, PsycINFO and APA's Books E-Collections. PsycTHERAPY and PsycTESTS are coming soon.

Eduserv struck their first deal with the American Psychological Association in 2003. Since then the agreement has been renewed after each three year term and has gone from strength to strength.

That first agreement offered PsycINFO, the abstracts and indexes database and PsycARTICLES, the full-text database of articles from APA’s scholarly journals, to the UK Higher and Further Education institutions. Since then the agreement has grown offering more resources and the number of subscribing institutions going up year on year. The latest agreement, launched on 1 August, is estimated to save the community almost £2 million. Other benefits include annual increase in licence fees below current inflation, lower service provision costs and other improved licence terms and conditions.

The resources are used by people in all kinds of disciplines other than psychology; for example business, medicine, social science and law.

Follow the links to find out how to subscribe to each resource. The agreement offers;

PsycARTICLES offers complete access to the full text of nearly 80 journals in behavioral science and related fields ranging from education, to nursing, to business, to neuroscience.

PsycBOOKS offers thousands of scholarly and professional titles including recent titles in psychological and behavioural science, plus a substantial backfile of classic and historic works all in full-text.

PsycCRITIQUES, also full-text, provides thousands of book and film reviews from 1956 to present. Users gain an insight from a psychological perspective allowing them to choose relevant reading material and course materials.

PsycEXTRA, a gray literature database (technical reports, conference presentations, popular magazines, and other documents), is a companion to the scholarly PsycINFO database.

PsycINFO is an abstracting and indexing database with more than 3 million records devoted to peer-reviewed literature in the behavioural sciences and mental health from 1800s to the present.

APA Books E-Collections provides perpetual access to the full text of annual collections of APA-published scholarly and professional books in PDF format from 2001.
