SIR federation latest news and developments - Jaime Perez
During the past year the spanish research and education federation (SIR) has experienced a huge increase on its use, primarily due to our institutions starting to move services to the cloud. With such a scenario it is vital to improve our infrastructure to allow it to scale properly, by adding automated procedures and tools and start collecting information that will help us monitor how it grows.

Meanwhile, we kept collaborating with international projects, giving as a result that SIR was the first federation to officially join eduGAIN, and being an active partner of the STORK project.

Inter-federating SURFfederatie - Joost van Dijk
This presentation will report on the latest developments in SURFfederatie, the Dutch Identity Federation. Our focus has been on enabling online collaboration, not only across institutional borders, but also internationally. This has resulted in several inter-federating efforts with the ultimate goal of extending our federation to a global scope.
