Introducing OpenAthens LA 2.0

OpenAthens LA 2.0 is a new, standards-compliant software platform that uses an organisation's user directory to provide single sign-on access to web resources using a variety of protocols such as Shibboleth and Athens.

It has been developed specifically for universities and colleges in the UK Access Management Federation that want to adopt local authentication whilst minimising the impact on busy internal IT departments.

Eduserv has been providing access and identity management services to the academic sector since 1994. OpenAthens LA 2.0 builds on this strong heritage to include open standards and support for new and emerging access management technologies.
