Education Cloud

The Education Cloud will help universities benefit from:

The Education Cloud is based on Eduserv's Community Cloud Infrastructure and hosted at our state of the art Swindon Data Centre.

Cloud services for universities

We initially launched a UMF Cloud Pilot infrastructure to host a number of SaaS projects funded by the University Modernisation Fund (UMF). Now all universities can benefit by joining the Education Cloud. Features include:

• on-demand self-service access to a range of VMware-based compute and storage services.
• pay-as-you-go and monthly or annual pricing models.
• billing by invoice or credit card. 
• services available directly on the JANET network.
• high capacity file storage.
• ongoing management and support of this infrastructure and its users.
