QSR always support two versions back. That is, on release of NVivo v 9, versions 7 and 8 will be supported.

NVivo v8 was released in April 2008 and QSR has provided a information factsheet detailing everything you need to know.

The Nud*ist software's functionality has been written into NVivo, so Sites wishing to continue using Nud*ist's functionality can do so by purchasing an NVivo licence.

QSR will supply Sites with Activation Codes for the software upon receipt via Chest of an application for a licence. Activation can be carried out by administrators across a network, so it does not require every PC to be individually activated. Activations are logged, but with the Chest site-wide licence there is no restriction on the number of legitimate activations.
