1.4 Agreement Period
This is a 5 year Agreement commencing on 1st June 2007 and terminating on 31st May 2012. One, two, three and five year supported licences are available.
Institutions may participate at any time during the period; however they will be bound until the end of the chosen period.
1.5 Institution Commitment Period
Institutions may participate at any time during the period; however, they will be bound by the terms and conditions, including payments, until the end of the term of the Agreement Period.
The Agreement to which this refers is a formal Agreement between Eduserv and Kaspersky.
2. Eligible Sites
This Agreement is available to Institutions of Higher and Further Education and Research Councils in the United Kingdom to Third Level Colleges in the Republic of Ireland and Chest Associated Sites.

4. Product Description
Kaspersky Business Space Security provides centralized protection for workstations and file servers from all types of viruses, Trojans, spyware, rootkits and other contemporary Internet threats.
Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security ensures a free flow of information within the company and secure communication with the outside world.
Kaspersky Total Space Security provides integrated protection for corporate networks of any size or level of complexity from all types of contemporary Internet threats.
Kaspersky MailServer Protection is a solution that protects mail servers and groupware servers from malicious programs and spam. The product includes applications that protect all popular mail servers, including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, Sendmail, Qmail, Postfix and Exim. The solution can also be used to set up a dedicated mail gateway.

5. Licence Type
This Site licence is subject to standard Chest terms and conditions. Copying of the Software is allowed at any Institution for use by any member of staff or student in accordance with the standard Code of Conduct for the Use of Software.
6. Personal Licences
The products may be installed onto personal computers owned by members of staff and students.
7. Post Termination of Agreement Period
At the end of the supported licence period Sites may choose to uninstall the software from their systems as unsupported ant virus software rapidly becomes unreliable measure of protection.
It is the intention of Eduserv Chest and Kaspersky to renew this 5 year Agreement. If the Agreement is renewed or extended then new conditions will apply. If the Agreement is not renewed then extension is a matter between institutions and Kaspersky.
8. System Releases, New Versions and New Functionality
One copy of system releases and/or new versions will be sent by Kaspersky to Licensed Sites as and when they become commercially available.
9. Location and Use Permissions
"Authorised Users" are those individuals, who must be a currently registered student, faculty member or employee of the licensed institution, who are authorised by the licensee (Institution) to access and use the Product.
It is a requirement of the Licensee (Institution) that it is satisfied that the Authorised User is an employee, student, or other person authorised by the Licensee for the purposes of the normal business of the Licensee's organisation.

10. Background Detail/Community Evaluation
The community has expressed interest in being able to acquire anti virus software on a site licence basis.
11. Institution Evaluation Copy/Exhibition Licence
Evaluation copies of Kaspersky anti virus software can be downloaded from the Kaspersky web site at www.kaspersky.com/downloads.
12. Product Documentation
Product documentation is included in electronic form within the software provided to the end user. If the end user wishes to obtain a hard copy version, this can be purchased for a fee of £15.00 through the CHEST agreement. Copying of documentation and software is not permitted.
13. Right to Copy Documentation
Copying of documentation is permitted.
14. Training and Training Materials
Kaspersky Advanced Training a 2 Day course is available from Kaspersky at £350 per delegate. These courses are run in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
15. Initial Consultancy/Support
Support will be provided by Kaspersky via a single contact or his/her deputy at each institution.

22. Payment Terms
On receipt of a completed Institution Purchase Order addressed to Eduserv, sites will be invoiced the one-off fee for the Product(s) ordered.
Prices exclude VAT.
All purchase orders must be made out to Eduserv and payments must be paid within 30 calendar days of the date of invoice.
23. How to Order
All sites should complete the following documents: :-
A Purchase Order with an indication of your preferred reseller (see section 1.3) for the full amount due plus VAT addressed to "Eduserv" and a Schedule of Particulars document both of which should be returned:-
