Team members answer questions about themselves and their role at Eduserv

 What is your role at Eduserv?

During my time here I’ve worked in technical support, business development and marketing, but I’m now tying all that experience together leading a new helpdesk that deals with customers who have non-technical enquiries with an emphasis on customer service. Because of my experience in a range of our business areas, I still get asked to contribute by other teams and that certainly keeps me connected to the whole Eduserv family.

 How long have you worked here?

I’ve been here for nearly six years.

 What do you enjoy most about your job?

It’s a really good team of people to work with. There’s a lovely, supportive atmosphere and colleagues are always willing to help. Also, the work is very varied – there’s always something different going on. I’ve worked in plenty of places, but this is definitely the best company I’ve ever worked for.

I also like the fact that there are no shareholders, whereas in other companies the emphasis seems to have been on making every penny count for people who don’t work there. Certainly we don’t waste money here, but it’s not all profit led, there’s more of an emphasis on quality of service.

 How has working for Eduserv helped your career development?

There is a culture of lifelong learning here – you are given time to do other things and for personal development. There is definitely a view that helping the people who work here to develop is good for the company.
